Michael Keane provides professional assessments for children and teenagers experiencing difficulties with literacy and numeracy.
Process Overview:
Waitlist & Initial Contact: After an enquiry, families are placed on a waiting list. A provisional timeframe is shared at this stage.
Pre-Assessment Forms: About 2–3 weeks before the assessment, parents receive forms to complete, including:
Consent Form (to be signed by parents/guardians)
Teacher Form (background information and test scores)
Literacy/Numeracy Difficulties Questionnaire (completed by home and school)
Assessment Day:
Location: Kilbarrack, Dublin 5
Begins with a parent interview (covering learning and developmental areas such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia/DCD, ADHD, Autism, intellectual disabilities).
Child/teen undergoes a full cognitive assessment plus lliteracy, and or numeracy assessments (approx. 75 minutes).
Parents wait in canteen and receive verbal feedback on the day.
After the Assessment:
A detailed written report and receipt are emailed in the following weeks.
Supporting resources can be provided, such as books explaining dyslexia to children and letters for the school.
Fees:
€850, payable on the day by bank transfer or cash (no card machine available).
